The General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR] lays down new guidelines regarding data protection safeguards. Such safeguards are taken very seriously within RAS Bookkeeping Services, and a summary of how we operate is given here.

How We Obtain Your Personal Data.

You provide us with personal data either by responding to online enquiries or over the telephone. This can include name, address, date of birth, bank details, National Insurance details and any other information required to allow us to undertake the services offered to, and accepted by you. Such information may be kept in written or electronic form. Once we cease working with you, such information is retained only as required by law.

Information From Other Sources.

We only obtain information from third parties if this is permitted by law, such as to verify your identity.

How We Use Your Personal Data.

We use your personal data to manage and administer the services that you have agreed to take from us. Such personal data is kept secure and confidential within the business.

Sharing Information.

Your personal data is not shared with any third party, unless we are required to do so by law. It is not currently transferred outside of the European Economic Area [EEA].

Data Subject Rights.

GDPR give you, the data subject, the right to access particular personal data that we hold about you. This is known as a subject access request. Any such requests should be made to the Data Protection Officer at RAS Bookkeeping Services, 18 Harold Court Road, Romford, RM3 0YU. We shall reply within 1 calendar month giving details of data held, the reason for holding such data and its source, if not from you directly at the outset.
